Homecoming season 2 will be “much more expansive”

Who else is excited for Amazon’s Homecoming season 2?!
Homecoming is getting another season, and its finally becoming more like a reality. At the end of the first season, it was doubtful that we’d get another season of the twisted psychological thriller. But here we are, months and months later, with a leading for the second season in the form of Janelle Monáe.
During the winter TCA press tour, the cast and crew of Homecoming’s second season spilled some details on what we can expect. According to Deadline, the cast stated we will be going outside of the Homecoming Transitional Support Center this time around. Considering the amount of time we spent there during season 1, it will be a nice change to get out of there.
When season 2 begins, Monáe’s characters wakes up on a boat in the middle of a lake with no recollection of who she is and where she is. But as she tries to unravel the mystery of her, she comes across the Geist Group, which is a wellness company involved with the Homecoming Initiative.

Fans of Homecoming likely found it while perusing through Amazon, or were day one fans because they listened to the podcast it is based after. And while season one followed the podcast to a tee, the second season will expand beyond that, especially when it comes to location, as mentioned previously. It will also deal with the fallout of season one, so there’s that to look forward to.
Unfortunately, Julia Roberts will not return for the second season, but Stephan James is reprising his role as Walter Cruz. All I want to know is–does he remember anything? And if so, what? And however will he move past it all? James had some answers, well sort of.
"Season one was so interesting to me, we didn’t get to see the full scope of Walter Cruz and now he’s introduced to you as who he really is. It brings an identity and humanity to Walter that was missing in the first season. We’re not in the confines of this facility, it’s Walter on a new journey and mission to figure out what happened to him."
Currently, Homecoming season 2 does not have a premiere date, but it is said to be circa late spring of this year. We’ll definitely be keeping an eye out!
