A shocking revelation may or may not be connected to Corrine’s disappearance as Joanna gets closer to the truth behind Heidi’s murder on The Stranger.

It should be obvious to anyone that the body in Killane’s wall is his missing wife who he actually killed all those years ago, but Adam can only think of Corrine and his first gut fear is that the body is somehow his wife on this episode of The Stranger.

Killane tells his story, about the woman he loved and the child they had together. But his wife needs more attention than he can give and she finds motherhood difficult. She cheats, but it’s okay as long as Killane has his baby. But one day she says she’s leaving and she’s taking the baby with her.

He can’t handle it, so he kills her in a fit of rage. He puts her body in the wall and throws himself into being a full-time dad. Of course, his story has nothing to do with Corrine and Adam is disgusted that this man raised his child in the same house where he was hiding the body of the murdered mother.

Corrine’s car has been found parked on a side road near the airport. Joanna takes Adam to investigate and they find one of Corrine’s beloved earrings in the backseat. The implication is upsetting and Adam begins to lose it. Why would just one of her earrings be lost, and why in the backseat and not the driver’s side?

Adam tells Joanna that he found out Ingrid’s identity and possible location and Joanna promises she’ll look into it. When she interviews Heidi’s employees they casually mention two women they saw Heidi talking to the night before she died. Joanna has Wes and Katz look through the CCTV footage of the parking lot to get an ID. Of course, it’s Ingrid and the Stranger and now Katz can ID them.

Kimberley comes clean about the blackmail and the FindYourSugarBaby site. Kimberley had contacted her clients to warn them of the blackmail, so maybe one of them got nervous and set out to cover up his involvement. Joanna wants to use Kimberley to lure them out in order to question them. She thinks Heidi’s death is linked to the blackmail somehow and maybe one of the men can lead them to the blackmailers.

Katz’s daughter Olivia suffers from a mysterious illness that no one can diagnose and her constant doctor visits keep him in debt. He needs money, which is how he became the security consultant for a powerful man whose livelihood is compromised when his involvement with Kimberley through FindYourSugarBaby is discovered by the Stranger. So that’s why Heidi was killed and why Katz is looking for the blackmailers.

Kimberley is able to lure this man out and set up a meeting with him that will be observed by the police. Katz is off sleeping in his car after a long night reviewing CCTV footage and his phone dies, so his client is unable to consult with him before accepting the invitation. Now Katz has to figure out some way to warn his client before he can be identified and he’s not answering his phone.

At the sting, as soon as Katz sees his client coming, he tackles some other guy claiming he thought he saw a knife. This disrupts the whole operation, allowing his client to slip out unnoticed.

Daisy, Mike, and Thomas confront Olivia about her lie and she admits that not only did she tell Daisy that Mike sent the nude photos from Ella’s phone, but that she was actually the one who did it. She likes Mike and she saw him talking to Ella and got jealous.

With all the teen drama afoot, the fact that Olivia is very likely being poisoned by her mom kind of gets lost by the wayside. All Daisy and Mike care about is clearing up their own mess, but Thomas has some perspective and empathy. He cares about Olivia and wants to help her.

When he goes back to talk to her later, Katz comes home unexpectedly. While looking for a place to hide, Thomas finds a cabinet filled with drugs and rat poison. He ends up hiding in one of the cars in the garage. Unfortunately, Katz ends up taking this car and now Thomas is just along for the ride.

Killane tries to kill himself and is taken to the hospital. Adam thinks he might know more about Corrine than he’s letting on, so he goes and waits for him to wake up. But the Stranger also turns up at the hospital and seems to be trying to sneak in to see Killane as well. Adam sees her and calls out to her. When she sees it’s Adam, she looks very shocked indeed. So here they are, face to face at last.
