She-Hulk Series: Mark Ruffalo’s Hulk Set to Appear
By Louis Skye
Mark Ruffalo could be joining the She-Hulk series, according to the latest rumors. Here’s what we know so far.
The Disney+ She-Hulk series is set to get a big name from the Marvel Cinematic Universe—Mark Ruffalo, reprising his role as the Hulk.
ComicBook.com shared the news, broken by The Illuminerdi, early Wednesday morning. Though Marvel and Disney+ representatives have yet to confirm the news, sources seem to be credible.
Ruffalo has been teasing his involvement in She-Hulk for a while and one hopes that this deal does go through. In Marvel Comics, Jennifer Walters/ She-Hulk is Bruce Banner’s cousin, which makes Ruffalo’s involvement in the show not only plausible but necessary.
With so few details available, we can only surmise at the length of Ruffalo’s involvement in the show. It would be frustrating for fans if Hulk became the centerpiece in a She-Hulk series—most likely, Hulk will be used as a form of introduction to She-Hulk.

Marvel has included cameo appearances in its direct spin-off, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., which saw Samuel L. Jackson’s Nick Fury cameo in the opening episode and a handful of later episodes .
The curtailed Marvel Netflix shows mentioned events from the MCU but never included any cameos or tie-ins to the expanded universe. Neither did Marvel’s Runaways or Cloak and Dagger.
If rumors of Ruffalo’s deal are true, he will be the latest MCU actor to make the jump from big to small screen. Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan will be reprising their roles in the upcoming The Falcon and Winter Soldier; Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany will appear in WandaVision; Tom Hiddleston will be bringing Loki back in a self-titled show; and despite backlash from fans, Jeremy Renner is still set to reprise his role in Hawkeye.
She-Hulk is among a crop of Disney+ shows set to introduce popular Marvel comic characters in live-action. Alongside She-Hulk, viewers will also be introduced to Ms. Marvel, and Moon Knight. No dates have been revealed for these three shows, as casting is still in progress.
