Silo season 3 just came to an end on Apple TV. Now, fans of the hit sci-fi series have a long, but not that long, wait ahead of them until Silo season 4 premieres.
Thankfully, Apple TV already revealed the Silo season 4 premiere date. The final season of the series based on Hugh Howey's Silo trilogy premieres on July 9, 2027.
Silo fans are used to waiting for about 18 months for new seasons. Season 4 will arrive about 10 months after season 3 ended. I don't know about you, but I can fit in quite a few TV shows in a 10-month window.
If you just finished Silo season 3 and are looking for some good sci-fi shows to watch while you wait for season 4, I picked three sci-fi shows you need to watch! After that season 3 finale, you probably need a pick-me-up!
For my first two picks, I went with shows that are similar to Silo, although Silo is probably better than both. For my last choice, I went with an excellent sci-fi series with similarities to Silo with notably different setting.
Fallout
- Seasons: 2

If you like Silo, Fallout is definitely the top show I would recommend. It's tonally different to Silo, but it basically follows on different survivors of a nuclear holocaust that drastically changes the world. The series, which is based on the video game series of the same name, follows Lucy (Ella Purnell), who was raised in a Vault, which is essentially a bunker similar to the Silos, after she leaves the Vault and starts to figure out what the world outside is all about.
Walton Goggins, Aaron Moten, Kyle MacLachlan, Moisés Arias, Xelia Mendes-Jones, Frances Turner, and Annabel O'Hagen round out the rest of the main cast of Graham Wagner and Geneva Robertson-Dworet's series.
There are two seasons of Fallout available to stream on Prime Video right now. The series burst on the scene on April 10, 2024. The second season followed up the hit season in December 2025. Now, we're just waiting on season 3 to premiere sometime in 2027.
If you like Silo but don't mind if things feel a little bit sillier at times, Fallout is definitely the show for you.
Paradise

- Where to watch: Hulu and Disney+
Paradise is a Hulu sci-fi series from Dan Fogelman. The series premiered in January 2025 and returned for season 2 earlier this year. The series tells the story of a secret service agent, Xavier Collins (Sterling K. Brown), living in an underground city created for humanity to survive a nuclear war.
James Marsden, Julianne Nicholson, Nicole Brydon Bloom, Sarah Shahi, and more star in the series.
Paradise has some key similarities to Silo, but I don't want to get into those for spoiler reasons. Let's just say not everything is as it seems. Paradise is definitely not one of my favorite sci-fi shows, but I do think it's good and similar enough to Silo to warrant a spot on this list. It also features some incredible performances. Brown is so good. I loved Marsden's role in the series, too.
Paradise season 3 will premiere on Hulu and Disney+ sometime in 2027. Production on the third season reportedly wrapped in August 2026.
The Expanse

The Expanse is the last pick on the list, and it's probably the best of the bunch. The sci-fi series premiered on Syfy in December 2015 and ran for six seasons through 2022. The series actually moved to Prime Video for the final three seasons.
The Expanse is based on the book series of the same name by James S. A. Corey. The series is basically a political thriller set in space and hundreds of years into the future. Thomas Jane, Steven Strait, Wes Chatham, Cas Anvar, Dominique Tipper, and more star in the series.
Of the four shows we're talking about, The Expanse is the most different. It's set in space, and it has so many interconnected parts. At times, it feels much more like Game of Thrones or House of the Dragon because there are so many characters, locations, and politics at play. Still, I think Silo fans will have a great time with this sci-fi series. There's so much to love about this show.
If you love sci-fi, you can't go wrong with any of these shows, but The Expanse is considered to be one of the best sci-fi shows of all time.
