Streaming platforms have been filled with absolute banger releases over the last few months, and Apple TV has been no exception.

Apple TV shows are some of the best sleeper hits, with incredible storytelling and well-acted scenes. August has already been a big month for the streamer, with returning shows and new ones alike.

We shared a list of three Apple TV shows to watch in August 2026.

Ted Lasso season 4

If you thought we were done with AFC Richmond, you would be wrong, because Ted Lasso has returned for season 4 of the popular series. While it was previously thought Ted Lasso was over and done with once season 3 concluded, Apple TV surprised everyone by revealing that a fourth season was in development. And now, it’s actively premiering. We’re up to three episodes.

In the fourth season, Ted stays in Kansas to be closer to his son, but Rebecca (Hannah Waddingham), Keeley (Juno Temple), and the whole gang come to the United States to convince Ted to return. However, it wouldn’t be to coach a men’s team this time. This time, he’s going back to coach the new women’s team.

As someone who absolutely loves this series and would quite literally die for Ted, I was eager to see its return to Apple TV. And I’ve been enjoying every second of the new season. I think there are still some growing pains because now we don’t get to see the former players we all grew close to. But I think some great additions to the women’s team will make this so much fun.

There’s so much to remember before you watch it, but once you’re caught up, Ted Lasso season 4 is fun and will continue dropping new episodes weekly.

Silo season 3

When many people think of Apple TV, Ted Lasso is one of the first shows that comes to mind. But the second, for me, has always been Silo, a phenomenal adaptation of the novel of the same name. If you’re looking for your sci-fi fix, this is the series for you.

The premise, if you haven’t seen it, is set in a sci-fi world where thousands upon thousands of people live underground in a bunker with 144 floors (hence the term ‘silo’). But soon, an engineer begins to uncover the secrets of why they live down there in the first place and how it could potentially change their lives forever.

The series has a huge, star-studded cast, led by the impeccable Rebecca Ferguson as Juliette Nichols (the engineer mentioned above). Season 2’s episodes featured some insane twists and turns, and season 3 has been nothing short of fantastic as well. While there have been some diversions from the books, it’s still a great series to watch, and I’d fully recommend it now.

Anya Taylor-Joy in "Lucky," now streaming on Apple TV | Apple TV

Lucky

Last but not least, I have to praise a new miniseries on the platform. Lucky stars Anya Taylor-Joy and is based on the novel of the same name. It's even executive produced by Reese Witherspoon. With seven episodes, this thrilling crime show is the one that you can binge in an entire day.

The basic premise is that a con artist named Lucky (Taylor-Joy) is forced to go on the run after one of her heists goes belly up and she nearly gets in trouble. But Lucky isn’t so “lucky” this time around, as both the CIA and a crime boss just so happen to be looking for her — simultaneously. It’s up to her to see if her luck has truly run out.

Aside from Taylor-Joy’s phenomenal acting (because, of course, she kills it in this role), the rest of the cast makes up a talented ensemble, with epic people like Annette Bening, Timothy Olyphant, Drew Starkey, and more stealing the show. There are so many moments that will make you gape at the screen in awe, but you’ll keep coming back for more.

Gosh, just writing about all of these makes me want to binge every one again. It’s time for a TV marathon. Or, at the least, you need to catch up on my Ted Lasso.
