October is here, ushering the final months of 2026 in, but we still have plenty to look forward to over the next couple of months. Some are entirely new shows; others are returning favorites, but overall, some great television is coming.
Here are the five biggest streaming shows that we’re still looking forward to this year.
- VisionQuest
- Percy Jackson and the Olympian season 3
- Blade Runner 2099
- Only Murders in the Building season 6
- Harry Potter

VisionQuest
- Premieres on Disney+ on Oct. 14, 2026.
It felt like we'd never get the continuation and conclusion to WandaVision and Agatha All Along. We were given witches and powers and so much more, and then, all of a sudden, it felt like the MCU forgot that in favor of other storylines. It’s not necessarily a bad thing — considering Marvel has had some of its best hits in movies the last year or so — but with Avengers: Doomsday releasing soon and rumors of Wanda appearing again, it makes sense that Vision would appear on our screens again too.
Thankfully, VisionQuest will bring us back to Vision (Paul Bettany). It’s considered the conclusion to the whole WandaVision trilogy. It will follow Vision inside his mind as he tries to understand who he is and how his life suddenly connects with a young man who claims to be his son. You know, the one that Wanda (Elizabeth Olsen) literally created with her mind.
I swear, this universe gets twistier and twistier whenever Wanda is involved, but I have to admit I am excited for this. I think that because we’re finally returning to this series, there will be a huge influx of fans who want to know what happened to Vision, and it will bring the MCU back even more than before.
Episodes will be released weekly on Wednesdays.

Percy Jackson and the Olympian season 3
- Premieres on Disney+ on Nov. 20, 2026.
Percy Jackson and the Olympians is returning. This time, we’ll be diving into season 3, which will mainly follow the plot of the third novel.
Based on The Titan’s Curse, the series will revolve around Percy (Walker Scobell) as he sets out on a quest to rescue Annabeth (Leah Jeffries) after she was kidnapped by Kronos (Nick Boraine), all while trying not to trigger the fall of Olympus and cause quite literally everything to fall apart.
The series will receive a lot more attention now that Disney has teamed up with Netflix for a couple-month streaming window for the first two seasons. I think season 3 will have a huge influx of fans.
Episodes will be released weekly on Wednesdays.

Blade Runner 2099
- Premieres on Prime Video on Nov. 25, 2026.
If you’re a sci-fi fan, Blade Runner 2099 is for you. Set in the Blade Runner universe, this miniseries stars Michelle Yeoh and Hunter Schafer and takes place in Los Angeles in 2099.
After an uprising, Replicants have become the city's power brokers, and humans are essentially second-class citizens. Olwen (Yeoh) is a Blade Runner who also happens to be a replicant and is nearing the end of her life when she teams up with her partner, Cora (Schafer), to take down Replicants who have turned.
However, Olwen doesn’t know that Cora isn’t a Replicant — she’s a human pretending to be one.
The series looks interesting and will add more lore to the Blade Runner universe. All eight episodes will drop at once.

Only Murders in the Building season 6
- Premieres on Hulu on Dec. 8, 2026.
If you wanted to return to the Arconia for season 6 of Only Murders in the Building, think again, because we’re going to be heading to London now when this show comes back around. The sixth season will follow our main characters, Charles (Steve Martin), Oliver (Martin Short), and Mabel (Selena Gomez) as they travel across the pond to track down the killer of Cinda Canning (Tina Fey).
While it feels a little weird to see these three outside New York, it should also be a nice change of pace. And a whole slew of new stars have signed on for season 6. It looks like it’s going to be a fun one.
New episodes will premiere weekly on Tuesdays.

Harry Potter
Last but certainly not least, we have Harry Potter, the latest adaptation of the famous novels by J.K. Rowling. The series follows Harry (Dominic McLaughlin), a young boy who learns he’s a wizard who somehow survived a killing curse by the Dark Lord.
To learn to be a wizard, he travels to Hogwarts, a secret school for witchcraft and wizardry, where he faces enemies, makes friends, and discovers much more about the world of magic.
I mean, it’s Harry Potter. It’s going to be a huge show regardless of the movies or anything else that happened before it. People love this book series, and I can already picture it becoming the next big HBO series after Game of Thrones. The show is said to be a more faithful adaptation of the books, so we’ll get more characters, stories, and magic than ever before.
New episodes will air weekly on Fridays.
All of these shows have me excited for what’s still to come this year. I can’t wait to sit down weekly and watch with everyone!
