It's still November 2026, and there are plenty of new shows set to be released before the year comes to an end. Being so, no one was reasonably expecting Prime Video to share more Off Campus season 2 news ahead of the holidays, much less announced the release date for the follow-up season. But the streaming service is clearly in the giving mood earlier than anyone else.
Before the show's massive debut on Prime Video in May 2026, Prime Video had already renewed Off Campus season 2, giving the show a chance to stay one step ahead of its expected popularity. The series quickly got back into production on its follow-up season this summer and wrapped up filming earlier this fall. Now, we officially know when we will be back at Briar University.
Off Campus season 2 release date confirmed for April 2027
Prime Video announced that Off Campus season 2 premieres on Wednesday, April 28, 2027 with a video featuring the season's central leads Mika Abdalla and Stephen Kalyn. While that date might seem incredibly far away considering 2026 hasn't even ended yet, the streaming service has thankfully avoided a trend that consumers have officially rejected: long waits between seasons.
Off Campus season 2 will arrive less than one year after the series first premiered on Prime Video. The college hockey romance series dropped with its complete first season on May 13, 2026, and the second season will premiere on April 28, 2027, completely avoiding a wait that's a year or more. Aside from a handful of streaming originals, that's increasingly unheard of these days. We might have expected the season to drop in May or June 2027, but April is even more exciting.
Keeping Off Campus on an annual release cadence appears to be important to Prime Video, especially when they need to strike while the iron's hot with this one. Not to mention, it's extremely wise to avoid conflict and competition with fellow hockey romance series Heated Rivalry season 2, which is also expected to premiere on Crave and HBO Max sometime in spring 2027 as well.
Prime Video hasn't yet confirmed whether Off Campus season 2 will have another binge release with all eight episodes dropping at once or if the series will pivot to weekly episode drops. It seems safe to assume at this point that the streamer won't be looking to change up strategies and stick to the method that worked so well the first time around, which was giving the fans exactly what they want.
Even though Abdalla and Kalyn will take the reins this time around for Allie and Dean's love story, Off Campus season 2 will continue to follow all of the characters we know and love. The full cast for season 2 includes Abdalla, Kalyn, Ella Bright, Belmont Cameli, Antonio Cipriano, Jalen Thomas Brooks, India Fowler, Julia Sarah-Stone, Khobe Clarke, Miles Gutierrez-Riley, Philipa Soo, Charlie Evans, and Shay Rudolph.
As the world of Briar U continues to grow and expand with new characters joining the fold and other love stories taking shape, there's no doubt that Prime Video has already started to think ahead to the future. The third season hasn't been renewed just yet, but it's a safe bet that one's already in the works and could be announced ahead of season 2's premiere just like last time.
Mark your calendars for Off Campus season 2 coming to Prime Video on April 28, 2027, and stay tuned for additional updates, photos, trailers, and more!
