By Josh Hill
The second season of the hit HBO series True Detective is right around the corner and as a result, there are many fans asking and wondering about what is in store. The show has found a writer in Nic Pizzolatto, a director for the first two episodes in Justin Lin and a cast of four Hollywood A-list leads.

But the work is hardly done from there, as the supporting cast now needs to be filled out. Michelle Forbes is rumored to be in on a role for the show, but one name that hasn’t popped up that very well could is none other than John Cho. The Harold and Kumar actor hasn’t been openly mentioned with the series yet, but don’t be surprised if his name starts to come up as we near production.
The main reason for his involvement would be his connection to director Justin Lin, as the duo worked together when they were breaking into Hollywood back in the mid to late 1990s. Cho hasn’t worked with Lin in over a decade, but that connection is still there and this would be a perfect project to come back together on.
Cho doesn’t even need a big role, but seeing him in the show wouldn’t be that big of a stretch and he may end up being a stellar addition to a cast that is already full of different flavors.
