True Detective was a pop culture phenomenon this year, and naturally the show has inspired more than a few Halloween costumes from fans of the show.

Halloween has come an gone, but the occasion was marked with more than a few True Detective themed costumes. and of the series — or just people who wanted to fit in — came out in droves this year dressed as Rust Cohle from True Detective.

It was the hot, popular costume of the year it seems, and it also seems to have been more popular with women than it was with men. The gender bending was pretty far out though, as it proved that the show may have had underwritten female characters, but there was still a large legion of female fans out there.
