Woody Harrelson Saturday Night Live Promos (Video)

True Detective star Woody Harrelson is slated to host Saturday Night Live this weekend to promote his new film, and his latest promo hyping the event has been released.

When True Detective hit it big, Woody Harrelson was launched to another level of respect for a lot of people. He was already more highly regarded than his counterpart Matthew McConaughey, but he has now been surpassed in popularity. That isn’t stopping him from being a popular figure on the entertainment scene though as he’s slated to host Saturday Night Live this weekend — something McConaughey hasn’t done.

Harrelson is hosting to promote his new film, The Hunger Games: Mockingly Part I which hits theaters this month. But while he’s there, it’s very possible that we will see some True Detective spoofs before the night is through.

The latest promo for his episode have been released and it features SNL stud Kate McKinnon and musical guest Kendrick Lamar alongside him. Check it out below:

The episode looks like it’s going to be a lot of fun, regardless of if there are any True Detective mentions or not. Given how SNL has their pulse on pop culture, it’s almost a given that True Detective s going to get mentioned or spoofed either in the cold open, the monologue or in a sketch somewhere in the show.
