For True Detective fans attending Liverpool’s LIPA school — Liverpool Institute of the Performing Arts — a unique opportunity is about to arise. Woody Harrelson, co-lead of True Detective’s first season, will be giving a talk at the school.

The Q&A is a private event, so admittance is limited to students of LIPA. While Woody Harrelson won’t be a good source for news on True Detective’s upcoming second season — what with him not being involved with it and all — it will still prove to be a unique experience to ask question about the first season. Among other questions involving his other work, of course.

Apparently, Woody Harrelson was personally invited by Paul McCartney, the co-founds of the institute. We wonder how difficult it would be to turn down a personal invitation from McCartney to do anything, but that’s not a situation that we will likely find ourselves in.

Woody Harrelson will be the first American film actor to speak at LIPA,who has previously hosted the likes of Ian McKellan, Alan Rickman, and Dione Warwick. It wouldn’t be surprising if the ultimate focus of the talk is on Harrelson’s recent film work in The Hunger Games series, but it would be surprising if True Detective didn’t worm its way in there.

Hopefully we’ll be treated to a run-down of the event, but any attending students of LIPA should consider attending. If you happen to be somehow attention the event, give us a shot-out in case you feel like sharing your experience.

Woody Harrelson recently lost a the Golden Globes, but he and Matthew McConaughey are still in the running for the upcoming SAG awards.
