Matthew McConaughey Joining Born to Run Film
Matthew McConaughey’s True Detective days are far behind him at this point, but it’s one of the projects that marked a serious turn in his career. He has been adding a slew of dramatic roles to his resume that have included the sci-fi epic Interstellar, Gus Van Sant’s upcoming Sea of Trees, and a new adaptation of Stephen King’s The Stand.

Deadline is now reporting that Matthew McConaughey’s newest project will see him star in Born to Run, an adaptation of a true story of how a journalist and runner journeys to Mexico to learn how to run from a secretive tribe.
And no, it definitely does not have anything to do with the Bruce Springsteen song of the same name.
True Detective has been credited with helping to revitalize Matthew McConaughey’s career and image, though really it was the final push after a slew of projects that gravitated away from big romantic comedies.
Even though McConaughey’s performance in True Detective has been so lauded, he has been snubbed at the Emmy’s, SAG Awards, and Golden Globes.
True Detective’s Matthew McConaughey-less second season is currently filming with a supposed premiere date in the summer. We any luck a teaser of some kind will be appearing soon, and there has apparently been a secret promotional package sent out to a lucky comic artist.
