True Detective Season Two: New Photos of Rachel McAdams and Colin Farrell (Photo)

We’ve continued to get a fairly steady stream of photo leaks from the set of True Detective’s second season. Even though we haven’t gotten anything from HBO, photo leaks featuring Rachel McAdams, Colin Farrell, Taylor Kitsch, and Vince Vaughn have been plentiful.

And now we have more to add to the mix courtesy of Just Jared. These new photos, featuring Rachel McAdams and Colin Farrell, are fairly pedestrian when compared to others we’ve seen in the past. The most noticeable aspect about them is the lack of Colin Farrell’s mustache.

Colin Farrell had been sporting his new look since True Detective began filming several months ago and he was even asked about it in a recent interview with the LA Times. In these new photos, however, the defining mustache is gone.

We can’t say what that does or doesn’t mean for Farrell’s character on True Detective, but it’s definitely a huge change. It’s almost funny that the biggest break we’ve had in a while — outside of the Vince Vaughn interview — comes from a missing mustache.

The official  True Detective twitter published a couple of photos from the set, but they proved to be the same photos of Colin Farrell that we’ve seen before. But now we have an entirely new mystery to occupy our time: where did that poor mustache run off to?
