How Long Is Too Long A Wait For True Detective Season 2?
By Josh Hill
Fans are in a lull with True Detective at the moment, and the wait for season two has become excruciating without anything to chew on as a teaser.
True Detective is taking its time in getting the second season of the show rolling, which is a problem for fans who want to see new material and want to see it soon.
HBO isn’t going to rush the production of the series, which is a good thing, but then again this is an on-demand generation of television viewers that want what they want as soon as they can get it — and even that’s too slow.

That is what has made the wait for True Detective so hard, but the question is how long is too long to wait for the new season.
In short, there is not right or wrong answer. The bottom line is unless the show takes an entire year to just start production, there is no such thing as waiting ‘too long’. It can be frustrating, no doubt but the fact of the matter is we will be getting True Detective when we get it and there is nothing we can do to expedite the process at all.
Waiting is truly the hardest part, but if the second season is anything like the first — and it’s shaping up to be that way — then the wait will have been well worth it in the end.
