True Detective and Grand Theft Auto Meet Again (Video)
True Detective and the Grand Theft Auto video game series are not the most obvious of bedfellows. Grand Theft Auto lacks much of the subtlety and noir sensibilities of True Detective, but people don’t play GTA for subtlety. What it does have, however, is a character creator and assets for players to mess around with.

And so this True Detective/Grand Theft Auto mashup was born. YouTube user Mitch L created a fitting tribute to both seasons of True Detective using the Lera Lynn song from the second season trailer. Created within GTA V, of course.
Actually, this isn’t the first True Detective/Grand Theft Auto fan creation we’ve seen. While the first was just a casual recreation of everyone’s favorite pessimist, Rust Cohle, this video is bit more in-depth and intricate. All for the better.
Many game contain tools for players to create their own content. Why don’t we have full-on True Detective mods so far? True Detective in Little Big Planet? This fruit is ripe for the picking, folks. And here we are just throwing out ideas.
