True Detective is currently in promotion mode for season two which premiers in one month. Even though HBO hasn’t pulled out all the stops for True Detective, several actors have given new interviews. This includes Rachel McAdams, who was able to divulge a little more about her True Detective character, Ani Bezzerides.

The issue of female characters on True Detective has been making the rounds again. People are gearing up for the second season, and this was a major complaint of the first season.

Rachel McAdams and Abigail Spencer both gave interviews in which they talked about the state of female characters on True Detective’s second season.

And what they had to say was good.

According to them, there’s no reason to worry about how True Detective will treat female characters in its second season. But is this still a sticking point with viewers? This is what we’d like to know. Below you’ll find a poll to help us find out how the fans feel about True Detective and female characters.

This will likely be a serious talking point when True Detective season two premieres, and likely even beyond that. It’s a hurdle that True Detective is going to have to prove that its been able to move past. This poll will run through Memorial Day weekend and end Monday at 8:00 P.M EST.
