Extra Caught up with Rachel McAdams at the Aloha Premiere
The second season of True Detective is almost upon us, but the all of the actors are under pretty tight lock and key. While that may usually make for an overall boring interview, all of the actors — Rachel McAdams included — have seemed very excited about True Detective.

Rachel McAdams’ new film, Aloha, just premiered and Extra was able to snag a minute with her on the red carpet. There’s not much to report here except once again McAdams seems very excited about her character, Ani Bezzerides. She’s still not allowed to say very much, but sometimes enthusiasm is enough.
McAdams was pressed to talk about working with Colin Farrell and Vince Vaughn, but she didn’t have much to say on the subject outside of the boilerplate “they were great!” True Detective will offer Rachel McAdams a chance to seriously spread her wings, a topic which is touched on in the interview.
In fact, True Detective couldn’t come at a better time for Rachel McAdams, since Aloha currently has a 15 over at Rotten Tomatoes. It wouldn’t be a bad idea for Rachel McAdams to show that she’s better than that. McAdams isn’t the only one to follow a flop with True Detective; Vince Vaughn is in a similar situation with Unfinished Business.
You can see the full interview, which runs under two minutes, over at Extra.
Next: The Golden Girls and True Detective. Yes.
