If early hype is anything to by, True Detective’s second season is going to be another hit for HBO. Nic Pizzolatto, the creator and write of True Detective, is looking for something of a change. According to Deadline, Pizzolatto has changed agencies to CAA.

For most people, this is change that’s not going to really mean anything. Directors, actors, and writers all change their representation often. It’s the sort of industry news that certainly isn’t going to effect True Detective in any discernible way.

Nic Pizzolatto, however, is a very private person. The only real interview we’ve seen from him concerning True Detective season two is a canned Q&A. Any look into his creative decisions is welcome, even if it’s something as pedestrian as changing agencies.

True Detective season two star Vince Vaughn switched representation not too long ago, prompting us to wonder if he was looking for a change to more dramatic fair. His recent interviews seem to point in that direction.

Once True Detective season two hits, hopefully we’ll see Nic Pizzolatto in the news a bit more often. In case you’re curious, his last tweet was well over a year ago. What Pizzolatto is looking to get our of his career, perhaps CAA will be able to help him with it.

And that, in turn, could be good for True Detective fans.

Next: Justin Lin gives an interview to Deadline.
