Colin Farrell Returned to Jimmy Kimmel with an Exclusive True Detective Clip (Video)
True Detective season two is almost over, but there are still plenty of storylines that have to be worked out over the course of the remaining three episodes. One of those plot points, involving Ray and Frank, will be coming up in the next episode. You can see a tease of it in the next episode preview.

But even though we have a couple of short days until the next True Detective, Colin Farrell let loose a mighty sneak peek at the new episode on last night’s Jimmy Kimmel Live. Colin Farrell has gotten around the late night circuit to promote True Detective, even going so far as to play a game called “True Confessions” with Vince Vaughn on The Tonight Show.
By the way, consider this an official spoiler warning in case you’re not caught up on True Detective season two.
In this clip, which you can check out below, Ray (Colin Farrell) confronts Frank about being manipulate into killing the wrong man. Frank seems to be in control here, simply telling Ray that the information was passed down to him and he just gave it to Ray. We’ll have to wait until Sunday to see how the rest of the scene shakes out, but at least one of the men at that table is armed.
Maybe even more interesting than the clip is Colin Farrell talking about working on Ray’s accent. Farrell describes the average American accent as difficult, and says had a few months before shooting to work on it. He also tries to remember exactly what he ate for breakfast while working with his dialect coach, for some weird reason.
The confrontation between Frank and Ray has been a long time coming, so Sunday’s episode should be exciting.
