Alexandra Daddario is Gearing up for Baywatch

Alexandra Daddario’s next major project will be the reboot of Baywatch.

Alexandra Daddario wasn’t a major part of True Detective’s first season, but she did play an important role. As Lisa Tragnetti, Daddario tested the limits of Marty’s marriage. It turns out that Marty himself was quite comfortable testing those same limits. Daddrio’s part in True Detective is also what scored her some acclaim from GQ. Those that have seen the first season can probably guess why.

Daddrio will be in the San Andreas sequel, but before that she will help revive Baywatch. Dwayne Johnson, better know as The Rock, debuted a picture from the set of himself and Alexandra Daddario in costume.

They both look Baywatch ready, wouldn’t you say? It’s worth noting that The Rock actually played Daddario’s father in San Andreas. Just want to casually throw that out there. Baywatch won’t be coming until the summer 2017, and is being directed by Seth Gordon. Gordon was responsible for the successful comedies Horrible Bosses and Identity Theft.

We already know that Alexandra Daddrio will play Summer, a skilled lifeguard. Baywatch isn’t expected to feature action on the same level of, say, San Andreas, but that’s not exactly why it was so popular in the first place.

It would, however, be expected that a series reboot starring The Rock would be a bit more action-packed. Perhaps he’ll have to beat up a shark or something, or there will be a threat from some beach-hating terrorists. Either one would work.

It’s obvious that Aleandra Daddrio and The Rock have built up quite the working relationship  when all is said and done, they will have been in three movies together by the end of 2017. Baywatch is currently in production, though it shouldn’t be too much longer until we see the first trailer.
