For those unfamiliar with Marvel’s Runaways, the story is about a group of teenagers who learn that their parents are supervillains, including a mafia boss, wizard, time-traveler, alien invader, mutant, and a mad scientist.
The kids decide they want nothing to do with it, steal weapons and resources, and run away intent on one day stopping their parents themselves.
Marvel’s Runaways was created by acclaimed writer Brian K. Vaughan (Y: The Last Man, Saga, Ex Machina) and worked on TV shows such as Lost and Under the Dome. Vaughan won an Eisner Award for the series, which is comic book’s version of the Oscar.
Josh Schwartz (Chuck) and Stephanie Savage (Gossip Girl) will serve as showrunners, and Brett Morgan (The Kid Stays In The Picture) directed the pilot episode. Rhenzy Feliz, Lyrica Okano, Virginia Gardner, Ariela Barer, Gregg Sulkin and Allegra Acosta star as the superpowered teens.

Marvel’s Jeph Loeb said that Runaways would be set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), but much like the Netflix shows they will not crossover with the movie characters. Unlike Netflix, Hulu releases its original series weekly just as a regular network would. Runaways pilot premieres on Nov. 21.
