Norm Macdonald Claims He Has Been Offered A Netflix Series
By Shawn Lealos
Norm Macdonald has enjoyed an interesting career, and now the comedian claims that he has been offered a Netflix series.
The claim by Macdonald came when he did an AMA over on Reddit. The entire AMA was over-the-top and likely offended almost everyone, but that is what Macdonald has based his comedy on for years. While he had very risque jokes throughout, his fans loved it, as it ended up with over 28,000 likes and well over 5,100 comments including questions, answers and random musings by fans.
One of the questions was based on the podcast that Norm Macdonald has been working on, with one fan asking if he enjoyed it. Macdonald has always been self-deprecating and was honest about his work, but then said that the podcast was actually a dry run to prove that he could once again host his own talk show.
"I did my podcast in order to see if I could host a talk show. And I think I succeeded and have now been offered a talk show by Netflix. All the podcasts were rehearsals."

Of course, Macdonald got his start thanks to Saturday Night Live, where he was responsible for creating the Celebrity Jeopardy skit and also was one of the best Weekend Update hosts in the history of the sketch comedy series.
After that, his success was hit-and-miss. He had a few movie appearances, he starred in The Norm Show for three seasons on ABC, tried to start a sketch comedy show Back to Norm on Comedy Central, although it never went to order, and finally got Sports Show with Norm Macdonald on Comedy Central, but that only lasted nine episodes.
More than that, Macdonald did commercials and worked as a voice artist on shows like Family Guy, The Fairly OddParents and Skylanders Academy.

However, in 2013, he started his podcast Norm Macdonald Live, which was a weekly podcast that has now lasted four full seasons. If Macdonald is to be believed, there is a good chance he could join his buddy David Letterman for his own show on Netflix soon.
