As most fans know, there are multiple worlds that Delos has created, one of them being Shogun World. Fans of the show got a super brief glimpse at the world during the season one finale, and recent trailers have dropped more hints as to what to expect.
On Delos’ viral site, one can find the description of what exactly Shogun World entails:
"“For those for whom Westworld is not enough, the true connoisseur of gore can indulge their fantasies with the slash of a katana. Modeled after Japan’s Edo period, Shogun World offers a chance for guests to embrace their inner warrior, in a landscape of highest beauty and darkest horror. Let your true self take shape in the land where self-discovery is an art form.”"
Did anyone else just get chills? Katanas? Warriors? We are so in for this new world and seeing it come to life after the epic first season is sure to be a visual feast for the senses. Rather than guns, visitors of the park will be able to partake in hand-to-hand combat. Yes, that’s right. The battle will go from far distances to up close and personal–inclusive of swords.
It is a mystery how Shogun World will come into play and what characters will be seen lurking its grounds — of course, apart from Maeve, who has already been seen as a fabulous geisha in the latest trailer. And with the host rebellion well under way, will Shogun World hosts join forces with Westworld?
