Robert Downey Jr. to headline documentary series about A.I.
By Derek Johns
Artificial intelligence is a concept that has fascinated the world of pop culture and the world in general for decades. With that in mind, YouTube is teaming up with none other than Robert Downey Jr. to produce a documentary series about A.I.
Robert Downey Jr. will produce, host and narrate the docu-series which will air exclusively on YouTube Red. The series will be including leading experts in A.I. as well as the scientific fields surrounding it.

In a way, it makes sense for Downey Jr. to be the one to narrate this project. For starters, his involvement alone will generate a good amount of buzz. Also, the sheer recognizability of his name and voice invites comparisons to Morgan Freeman with March of the Penguins.
It’s also rather fitting the man playing Tony Stark narrate about A.I., given the character regularly builds them himself.
There’s also a certain logic on Youtube Red being the ones to pick up on this. The streaming service has very recently had their first bona fide hit in Cobra Kai, so it’s only natural they try to be ambitious and build on that success by bringing in a big name like Downey Jr for their next project. It wouldn’t be shocking if YouTube makes some additional announcements like this in the coming months.
