Everyone wants control of Harlem in the final trailer for Luke Cage season two.

It looks like Harlem is about to be caught in the crossfire of a war based on the latest trailer for Luke Cage. The warring factions all want this section of New York for themselves and they will shed blood to claim it.

There’s a lot to unpack in this video considering there are at least four villains making appearances. Alfre Woodard’s Mariah Dillard gets the most focus as she strives to be the “Queen” of Harlem. This won’t come as a surprise to most fans of the series considering she ended the first season heading down this path.

However, it does look like Luke Cage is introducing her daughter? Not much is known about her outside of the trailer which sees her at odds with Mariah. Considering she wasn’t in the first season, it’s safe to say the two don’t get along.

In fact, they might be on opposite sides in these upcoming episodes. In a quick scene, she can be seen commiserating with this season’s big bad. John McIver, otherwise known as the Bushmaster, has come to wreak havoc on Harlem. Unfortunately, that means he’ll need to take out both Mariah and Luke.

Mariah will have Shades by her side and the two look ready to go to war. In another surprising twist, Luke will also be protecting her from McIver. As the saying goes, “The enemy of my enemy is my friend”, right?

Annabella Sciorra is also briefly seen but it’s unclear which side she’ll be on. It was earlier reported she would be playing a villain in this upcoming season who will undoubtedly join the fray. Her character, Rosalie Carbone, is described as ”a dangerous downtown criminal underworld power player with an eye — and an agenda — aimed at Harlem”.

While the trailer certainly gives plenty of screen time for its villains, the heroes are notably missing. Fans expected to see a shot of Iron Fist teaming up with Luke at least once before the season debuts. However, people will just have to tune in to see the Heroes for Hire finally in action.

A recent interview with Rosario Dawson also left her future in the MCU up in the air. It certainly seems like fans should worry about their favorite Night Nurse.

While Danny and Claire might be nowhere to be seen, a previous clip revealed the Daughters of the Dragon fighting together. The Bushmaster and Mariah are definitely in for more than they’re expecting with all of these heroes together.
