Daredevil: Charlie Cox would like to team up with Spider-Man

Charlie Cox wants to see Daredevil hit the streets of New York alongside Spider-Man.

In a recent interview with Collider, Cox was able to talk about what possible team-up he’d like to be a part of. To no one’s surprise, he was quick to mention his desire to work with Peter Parker. Daredevil and Peter have a pretty long comic book history where they’ve teamed up quite a few times.

Unfortunately, Cox also admitted how unlikely it is the two will ever meet in the MCU. Even though they both live and work in New York City, the time constraints and contracts involved to make a minor scene happen would be a nightmare. Despite this, he’ll keep hoping to pair up with the webbed hero at some point in the future.

"“I have to be really careful here. I mean, I’m sure I can say this. And I’ll just preface it by saying that I can’t see how this would happen. Maybe it will, maybe it won’t. But I have no information to suggest that this would ever happen. But it’d be really cool to see… I’d love to do something with Spider-Man.”"

Cox is definitely not the first person hoping to see the two heroes team up. In fact, many fans have hoped to see the young Avenger make appearances with Daredevil, the Punisher, and Jessica Jones. Considering they all fight in the same city, it’s a little surprising that neither the shows or the movies make much of a reference to the other.

His recent statements also echo a sentiment he put forward in an interview with MTV a few years ago.

"I’d love to see Peter Parker and Daredevil hang out. There’s a wonderful issue of the comics where Matt Murdock has to defend Daredevil, because the public don’t know, and so he has Peter Parker put on his Daredevil outfit so that he can sit in the docks. You know, great storyline.”"

Considering Matt Murdock is technically dead, it would be cool to see Peter Parker take over Daredevil’s crime-fighting for a bit. Unfortunately, this probably won’t happen anytime soon considering how Avengers: Infinity War ended.

While Spider-Man might not be making a cameo in the Netflix universe anytime soon, fans still have Daredevil season three to look forward to. The series is expected to adapt the incredibly popular “Born Again” arc with Bullseye and Kingpin. It might not be Thanos, but it’s certainly shaping up to be one of the most exciting events in the MCU.
