Chilling Adventures of Sabrina cast releases short teaser and official poster

Netflix’s Chilling Adventures of Sabrina is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated series of the year.

The new series has launched its social media accounts and is already piling up followers. A lot of that is because the cast shared a short little video on Instagram welcoming viewers to their “coven”.  While there’s no official release date for Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, fans will most likely just be happy to get a glimpse of the new series.

It’s unclear if the new series will be a spin-off from The CW’s Riverdale or if it will stand alone. Nevertheless, both shows are coming from Riverdale‘s creator Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa. Does the name sound familiar? That’s because Aguirre-Sacasa is also responsible for writing the Chilling Adventures of Sabrina comic. His dark take on all of the Archie Comics properties has served as a creative resurgence for the longstanding series.

Based on his Twitter posts, it seems like the show will be just as dark as the flagship comics. He released a short teaser video with different artwork from the comics.

On Friday the 13th, he also gave fans a fun collage of photos for the upcoming season. While it doesn’t feature any new glimpses, it does welcome viewers to the fandom.

Meanwhile, the official Twitter for Chilling Adventures of Sabrina has been hard at work the past few days. All of this social media activity is bound to have fans wondering if a trailer will drop soon. For now, they’ll have to be content with some behind the scenes videos compiled in one tweet.

Finally, Aguirre-Sacasa revealed one final tidbit for the show with the official poster. While it doesn’t offer many details about the new series, it does look really cool. The poster sports Sabrina’s notorious white-blonde bob and Salem in the center.

Fans are awaiting an official trailer as well as a release date from Netflix, but they also have one other big question. Will Chilling Adventures of Sabrina crossover with Riverdale? The CW schedule revealed a new episode of their popular series will be airing on Halloween this fall. It seems like the perfect opportunity for a one-shot episode with the gang heading into Greendale.
