Fear The Walking Dead actor Colman Domingo wishes for a Madison-Strand reunion

Fear The Walking Dead’s Colman Domingo (Victor Strand), reveals which co-star he’d bring back from the dead.

The first half of Fear The Walking Dead’s Season 4 had plenty of twists and turns.

The biggest of all may have been the reshaping of the cast when actor Stephen Dillane (who played Nick) requested to leave the show, as well as the writers deciding to kill off its main character in Madison Clark (Kim Dickens).

More from The Walking Dead

During her time on the show, Madison’s character bonded closely with shifty conman Victor Strand (Colman Domingo), the two forming one of the closest relationships we’ve seen so far in the series.

This relationship goes beyond the show, as actors Dickens and Domingo’s are friends in real life.

During a Facebook Live Q&A with AMC Brazil, Domingo was asked, if it were up to him, what character would he like to see brought back to Fear The Walking Dead.

His answer was Madison — who hasn’t been absent even one episode since her character was killed off in the midseason finale.

"“Madison and Strand had such a great time, and I thought there was much more story to tell. Who knows, maybe she’ll come back in dream sequences, or something. Maybe she’ll be haunting me. ‘Victor, get up, do the right thing. Victor, have a scotch. Drink more scotch, Victor.”"

Although it was teased throughout Season 4, Madison’s death came as a shocker to many fans when the moment finally came. Something didn’t feel right about it — like the death was rushed.

I agree with Domingo that there was much more story to tell between the two. Domingo elaborated on his answer to bring back Madison Clark:

"“But I would like to bring back Madison, because I think that she’s — also, because I just like working with Kim, I just like working with Kim, too. I like working with our new comrades as well, [but] Kim and I had something special.”"

While this death seems permanent, a Madison return isn’t completely out of the question. There’s always flashbacks and dream sequences (like we’ve seen on both Fear and The Walking Dead plenty of times before).

There’s also the slimmest chance that she wasn’t killed (not really, but there’s wiggle room!)

Yes, she was surrounded by about a thousand walkers with her back against a wall. Yes, it’s been confirmed that Madison is dead by the show’s writers. But, in a show where the dead are literally walking around eating people, I wouldn’t say it’s completely out of the question that a miracle escape could be written in at any time.

Strand joins Alicia Clark (Alycia Debnam-Carey) as the last originals from the show’s first season (besides Daniel Salazar, who might still be wandering around somewhere).

Season 4 will resume Sunday, August 12 at 9 p.m., and while Madison won’t be around for it, there’s still a brand new, exciting story ahead.
