This is Us renewed for three more seasons
NBC renewed fan favorite show This is Us for a rare three season order last week.
Get your tissues ready, because This is Us has been renewed for three more seasons. This means the show will be taken through at least until season 6.
The acclaimed NBC drama is a massive hit and has been must-see TV since episode 1.
During season 3 alone, 13.8 million people watched, making it the number one series watched among that key 18-49 demographic, and the number two drama among all viewers.

Not bad for a network show in a world where cable and streaming services rule television.
The renewal, and the way it was renewed with three seasons, should come as no surprise to some.
Back in February, the show’s creators, Dan Fogelman and Isaac Aptaker, told People Magazine that they see the show lasting another three seasons. They have a master plan, which is encouraging that we will see a complete and satisfying end to the series, whenever that may be. Because according to Fogelman, “they’re keeping their options opened” for more seasons.
This is Us follows the lives and times of the Pearsons, Jack and Rebecca (Milo Ventimiglia and Mandy Moore), and their children Kevin, Kate, and Randall (Justin Hartley, Chrissy Metz, and Sterling K. Brown). The show jumps all over time, spanning from 80 years in the past, to 15 years in the future… so far.
The show is also an award show darling, having been nominated for 17 Emmys, including a lead actor Emmy for Brown. And the cast won two Screen Actors Guild Awards for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble.
The fourth season of This is Us returns this fall for 18 episodes.
