Game of Thrones: Misplaced water bottle manages to top the Starbucks cup debacle

Game of Thrones first dealt with Coffeegate, and now they must deal with Water Bottle Gate.

Game of Thrones came to an end this past Sunday, leaving fans with a lot to think and talk about. Most were not happy, many were frustrated, and some didn’t have words to explain how they felt after that happened. For those of you who haven’t seen the episode yet, I’ll refrain from spoilers!

And while so much was going down in the series finale, fans noticed something off about a very critical scene. You all remember Coffeegate, yes? Well, now, ladies and gentlemen, let us introduce you to Water Bottle Gate. Yes, that’s right, Water Bottle Gate.

While a council from all the major houses (the ones that were left anyway) gathered in the Dragonpit of King’s Landing to make a critical decision, fans took notice to something that was off about the scene. What is this odd thing you ask? A water bottle peeking out from right behind Samwell Tarly’s leg, according to Deadline.

Somehow, Game of Thrones missed yet another random object in a scene, and it took fans all of a few seconds to point it out. If you’re curious to see what people had to say, just head to Twitter, which is full of the most hilarious comments. And just like HBO removed the very obvious coffee cup from “The Last of the Starks”, I’m sure it won’t take them very long to correct the water bottle mishap.

I’m curious to see what HBO’s statement will be this time around, considering after Coffeegate they said, “The latte that appeared in the episode was a mistake. Daenerys had ordered an herbal tea.” What will their excuse be this time? Perhaps, Samwell Tarly was feeling a bit dehydrated while trying to figure out the future of the Seven Kingdoms? I wouldn’t be surprised.
