Glow, the show about a show based on a true story of an old show is back on Netflix with ten new episodes.

I’ve been a little critical of Glow this season. Even though it wasn’t my favorite season of the three, but it’s still better than half the junk on TV. It’s a lady-run series and there aren’t too many of those out there.

So, I sincerely hope Glow is brought back for another season. Do you hear me, Netflix! Don’t mess with Glow! Give us another season! I need a resolution to this Sam and Ruth saga! I want to see Debbie be president of a network! I want to see them woo Carmen back! We deserve this!

Quick recap: It’s the holidays and before the ladies take off for a break, Carmen convinces everyone to put on a Christmas-themed version of the show. Debbie steals a deal from her boyfriend.

Best holiday spirit: Carmen is really into the holidays. And with the attack on the Libertine Ball still fresh in their minds, she has to work even harder to get her friends into the holiday spirit. She organizes a Secret Santa, and when she picks herself, she switches with Ruth, who had Cherry. She convinces Ruth to put together a Christmas Carol spoof of the show. And since Ruth is Carmen’s Secret Santa, she grants her wish.

Best moment: And the show is AWESOME! Ruth as Zoya plays Scrooge, and it really just goes to show how brilliant of a comedic actress Alison Brie is. Hello, Emmys! Do you hear me? Sheila plays Jacob Marley, Jenny plays Tiny Tim, and Tamme plays the Ghost of Christmas Present. Carmen, as the Ghost of Christmas Future, fights Zoya Scrooge and the match makes up for the lack of ring action this season.

More from Show Snob

Not surprising: As the ladies open their Secret Santa gifts after the show, Santa bursts through the doors and it’s Keith! Carmen, who’s Cherry’s Secret Santa, arranged for him to come back. Did y’all really think Keith was leaving Cherry for good?

You go, girl!: After Stacey gives Arthie a rainbow sweatband, she is moved enough to officially come out as gay to all the ladies. Stacey replies, “Uh yeah, we know!” But Arthie said she needed to say it out loud. Then Stacey throws over a Playboy to complete her gift.

It’s cringeworthy: After a meeting with Sandy, Bash sees Paul standing at the bar. He asks her to fire him. Well, she can’t Bash, because that’s Paul the gigolo and he’s not on her payroll. He’s beside himself. He later admits to Debbie what happened between him, Rhonda, and Paul. I felt so bad for Bash here because he was tricked, and it basically forced him to admit that he liked it. It’s such a stark contrast from Arthie’s coming out moment. Later, Bash tells Rhonda that he still wants to stay married to her and wants to start a family.

You go, girl, too!: Debbie helps Bash get through his personal crisis, which Bash blames on being in Vegas. Earlier, she learned of a possible TV network deal from J.J. She pitches to Bash that they should buy the TV network and basically steal the deal from J.J. Having their own network would enable them to put Glow back on the air and out of Vegas. The get the deal!

Biggest surprise: In the airport, as everyone is leaving for their various holiday destinations, Carmen announces to Debbie and Ruth that she is quitting Glow. She wants to wrestle, like her brothers. But she can’t do that on Glow. And while Debbie promises her “new opportunities” but can’t specify yet because the deal is still being finalized, Carmen leaves. Just earlier, Ruth tells her how she’s the heart and soul of the show. And I have to agree. I can’t imagine Glow without Carmen.

The cliffhanger: Just as Debbie is about to tell Ruth about this life-changing network deal, Ruth realizes her flight goes from delayed to boarding and she takes off. So, Debbie runs after her and catches her at the gate. Debbie tells her of the deal, that she will be president, and that she wants Ruth to direct the new show. “I’m going to build us an Eden, where we run the show, you and me. No more auditions, no more being at the mercy of these f***ing idiots — we’ll call the shots.” I damn-near cried. These two have come such a long way both personally and professionally. Here, Ruth thinks she’s lost career-wise and Debbie has handed a new opportunity to her on a silver platter.

Next. The Family: Netflix exposé raises questions on apparent cult. dark

Ruth doesn’t leap at the chance. In fact, she just stands there. Knowing why, Debbie snaps her into reality. The acting thing isn’t going to happen. “How many times are you going to break your own heart? Come on, Ruth! Make a move!” Seriously, Ruth! She gets on the plane and leaves Debbie there dumbfounded.

Again, here’s hoping Netflix is smart and renews a season 4 of Glow. Because when you end on a cliffhanger, the fans deserve an ending of some sort for closure. Even if it’s terrible. I just can’t imagine Glow every could be terrible, though.
