Reminder: Golden Globes take Place this Weekend
The Golden Globes are first up this award season, with the SAG’s closely following. The Golden Globes are True Detective’s next chance at award gold after being passed over at the Emmy’s, to the surprise of some.
Here are the awards that True Detective is up for at The Golden Globes:

Much like the upcoming SAG awards, Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson will go up against each other at The Golden Globes for Best Actor.
With three nominations, True Detective has a fairly solid chance of taking home a Golden Globe, especially in the Best Actor category due to the double entry.
In case you missed it, we analyzed True Detective’s chances at the Golden Globes not too long ago. If you were to place any money on True Detective taking home an award this season, The Golden Globes would be your time to shine.
The ceremony will take place this Sunday, January 11th on NBC at 8 PM EST. We’ll be standing by to report the win/loss count, so make sure to join us!
