This Week in True Detective: Post SAG (Week of 1/26/2015)
This Week in True Detective is a new feature that aims to bring you the best True Detective happenings of the week. This could include breaking news, popular articles, or anything else that people found interesting or may have missed.
Welcome to another edition of This Week in True Detective. This past week brought us almost nothing but bad news. We were helpful that True Detective would be able to perform well at the SAG awards, but that didn’t exactly work out. But life moves on.
Let’s begin.
- True Detective suffered two loses this week: one a the PGA awards and the other at the SAG awards. It was a very poor week for awards and it left us wondering just why True Detective keeps losing.
- It was then time to look forward to the last award of the season, the DGA awards. True Detective has performed better in the past in the director category than acting so we are cautiously optimistic about this one.
- In on piece of good news a new set of photos from the True Detective set has leaked. This time Taylor Kitsch is featured. Now we just need some of Rachel McAdams.
- Finally, we got word that True Detective’s Glenn Fleshler will be joining Hannibal for its third season. Fleshler gave a fantastic performance as Errol Childress in True Detective and we look forward to checking him out on Hannibal.
And that’s your rundown of the True Detective happenings that occurred this past week. This weekend is Superbowl Sunday, so enjoy that if you’ll be watching. The DGA awards are next week and we’ll have all the news on that once they go down.
