True Detective and Taylor Swift Have Become One (Video)
There have been a myriad of True Detective spoofs that focus on the now-iconic opening credits. We’ve had cats, Batman, and The Wire, just to name a few. It’s proven to be one of the most popular ways to spoof True Detective.
But YouTube user Scotch Moses has taken things to a whole other level. Thanks to this fan’s tireless work, we now have a version of the True Detective credits featuring none other than Taylor Swift. And believe us, it’s fantastic.

Even non-Taylor Swift fans would be forced to admit how well done this clip is. It expertly incorporates scenes from Taylor Swift music videos and True Detective‘s editing and artistic production.
And in case you worried that the fantastic opening theme, “Far From Any Road,” would be replaced by a Taylor Swift song, know that it remains intact.
Frankly, it’s one of the single best True Detective parodies that we’ve seen so far. That may be difficult to understand without seeing it first-hand, so stop wasting your life and watch this clip. Taylor Swift’s pale, red lipstick-ed visage pairs perfectly with True Detective’s noir bent.
True Detective fan creations continue to impress us, and this isn’t the first time that we’ve been left wondering, “where can they go from here?” But we know in not too long some fan will come along and blow our minds once again.
How do you feel about this True Detective/Taylor Swift mashup?
