This Week in True Detective: Week of 2/23/15
This Week in True Detective is a feature that aims to bring you the best True Detective happenings of the week. This could include breaking news, popular articles, or anything else that people found interesting or may have missed. Now on Saturday!
This week was interesting: it felt as if we were learning more information than we actually were. We had a new Colin Farrell interview as well as more leaked Rachel McAdams photos, but neither of those helped to answer some of the bigger questions regarding True Detective’s mysterious second season. Ah, well.
Let’s begin.
- We took a critical eye to True Detective’s rather sudden return to Twitter after a long period of silence. Could this lead to a greater social media push, or was it just a fluke?
- We also went over the new Emmy rules change that occurred to make sure that another argument over miniseries vs. drama doesn’t occur. Remember how much fun that was?
- Colin Farrell was interviewed by the LA Times but we didn’t really learn anything new. And if you ask us, the whole interview had a rather odd tone to it. New photos of Rachel McAdams also leaked, so make sure to check them out if you haven’t yet.
- The Blue Man Group sent as their own their own True Detective tribute. Also, Jeff Bridges expressed his love for the first season.
- Finally, we discussed whether or not we’ll see a big high-profile release for the first teaser for True Detective season two.
And that’s your week. If you have any True Detective plans this weekend or just want to chat, you can find us on Facebook and Twitter. Send us your own True Detective creations or just hang out. We’re cool, we promise.
