Alexandra Daddario’s role on the first season of True Detective was a small but important one. As Lisa Tragnetti, Marty’s girlfriend, Daddario brought a serious tension to the series. And she hasn’t exactly been taking things easy since then. For fans of Fox’s The Last Man on Earth, Daddario made a short but sweet cameo in the first episode.

She also appeared on The New Girl and stars in the latest disaster flick, San Andreas. Deadline is reporting that Alexandra Daddario will star, alongside Kate Upton, in The Layover, directed by William H. Macy. Fans of Daddario will have to wait until 2016, but such is life.

Alexandra Daddario made quite an impression on True Detective, and even made a certain GQ list to prove it. She’s been vocal in the past about supporting creator Nic Pizzolatto and the show during its various controversies, including one claiming that True Detective was misogynistic.

It’s always nice to see an actor from True Detective in other things. Obviously this does not count those that were already bona-fide movie stars; that would be cheating. Alexandra Daddario has said that True Detective definitely gave her a bump in her career, which is jut the type of news we like to here.

Next: Vince Vaughn has two dramas coming up.
