True Detective’s Colin Farrell has a new Interview with Style

Being able to say “True Detective’s Colin Farrell” is a little bizarre, isn’t it?

But we’re not here to talk about that.

We’re going to be honest, out of all four new True Detective leads, Colin Farrell gives the worst interviews. He usually comes off as dismissive or blasé, save for the fantastic interview he did with Variety while in Maui. That one is worth your time.

Colin Farrell was once again interviewed, this time for Style. The interview is more about his fashion sense and his new scent, Intenso, than his work on True Detective. But that doesn’t mean True Detective doesn’t come up.

If there’s one True Detective topic that is capable of bridging the television and fashion worlds, it’s Colin Farrell’s mustache. We’ve been intimately familiar with this new look for a long time, but unsurprisingly Farrell is just about sick of it.

When asked directly whether or not the mustache was grown just for True Detective, Farrell spoke to its future:

"“No, it’s just cool. [laughs] No, it wasn’t by choice, so it will be gone as soon as we wrap.”"

So there you have it. We’ve already seen Farrell without the mustache in True Detective, most recently in the latest trailer. It’s unclear when this interview was given since True Detective has already wrapped shooting, but it doesn’t change his thoughts on this new look.
