Mix and Match Your Own True Detective Season Two Finale
There’s only a single episode of True Detective’s second season left. Somehow. The final episode, “Omega Station,” will air this Sunday and will run for 90 minutes, making it practically a True Detective movie. There is a lot for True Detective to work through in that time, and it may still end up feeling cramped. If you don’t feel like waiting, however, you can create your own ending to season two right now.

This fun little site, TDFinale, will aid you in creating your own ending. All you have to do is pick two characters you like and one that you don’t. Those that are behind may find this selection screen to be a bit of a spoiler, so consider yourselves warned. That’s all you have to do. The site will then randomly generate endings for two of the chosen characters.
We guess the third choice doesn’t make it.
The generated endings are a tad on the ridiculous side, so be prepared for that. When we tried it out we got “Frank Semyon dreams of better things and goes for a drive with Snoop Dog.” We’re not clear on how, exactly, Frank was able to befriend Snoop Dog in the first place, but it’s not our place to ask those sorts of questions.
HBO’s Michael Lombardo recently gave his support, again, to True Detective, saying that the finale is surprising and satisfying. We’ll have to wait just a little bit longer to find out whether or not that’s true. But until then, feel free to piece together your own finale.
