Watch the Trailer for Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them (Video)
The trailer for Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, starring Colin Farrell, has dropped.
It may actually be a tad disingenuous to say that Colin Farrell stars in the upcoming Harry Potter spinoff/prequel Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. While the one-time True Detective actor may be one of the man stars in the film, he’s not exactly the main player. Let’s just get to the juicy bits: we have the trailer for Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them below.

You’ll likely notice that Colin Farrell doesn’t appear in the trailer at all. What we know about Farrell’s character is that he’ll be playing a powerful Auror — ostensibly a good-guy bodyguard wizard — a title that will surely be nonsense for anyone not intimately familiar with the world of Harry Potter. But this movie isn’t exactly for the uninitiated.

We do get a few good shots of actual star, Eddie Redmayne, and we’re also given the general gist of the film, which is that a number of “magical creatures” have been released and need capturing. It would also be wist to expect a healthy dose of wizarding politics as well.
Unfortunately we’re going to have to wait a bit more to get a look at Colin Farrell in his new gig, but there will be plenty of more trailers to gorge on before the film’s November 18th, 2016 release, almost a year from now.

Colin Farrell and the other main actors from True Detective season two would like to forget about their time on the show, or at least that’s how it seems.
