Game of Thrones episode 704 preview: “The Spoils of War”
We’ve officially hit the halfway mark in Game of Thrones season 7 with Sunday night’s all-new episode — “The Spoils of War.”
That’s right folks, when Game of Thrones episode 704, “The Spoils of War” airs on HBO on Sunday night, we will have reached the halfway point of this seven episode slate of season 7. Yes, it’s okay to be sad…we all are.
Anyway, here’s the preview for episode 704, “The Spoils of War.”
“The Spoils of War” will be the Game of Thrones directorial debut for newcomer Matt Shakman, who previously worked on Always Sunny in Philadelphia.

HBO has yet to release a synopsis for the episode, and at this late date, I would not expect one. 704 will also be tied for the shortest episode of Game of Thrones with the season 6 premiere, “The Red Woman.”
There has also been some controversy surrounding “The Spoils of War,” as the episode was leaked online on Friday after an HBO affiliate fumbled the ball. We don’t expect this to affect the ratings for Game of Thrones, however, as the first four episodes of season 5 were leaked before that season’s premiere yet the show still set records for viewership.
