Colony season 3 episode 2 ‘Puzzleman’ recap
By Grant Butler
In “Puzzleman”, the Bowman family is making their way out of their wilderness hideout. But they are far from the only resisters living off the grid.
The Bowman group, much like the viewers, has to question who can they trust and who should they be wary of. Meanwhile, in “Puzzleman” another resister Broussard (Tony Kittles) is going through old documents, trying to get any information he can.
Eventually, he stumbled upon a young woman with a child who is desperate to get out of the colony. Broussard also thinks he finds what The Authority’s plan for Los Angeles; they want to build some sort of weapon.

At the same time, the Bowmans meet up with other members of The Resistance. They instruct the Bowman group to board a train that is up as a rendezvous point. Neither the meeting point nor the train ride itself is exactly reassuring for any of them. But they don’t have much choice in the matter.
Eventually, they do meet up with The Resistance, but it isn’t like they are all warmly welcomed or anything. It seems that they operate under the rule of the enemy of my enemy is my friend more than anything else. There doesn’t seem to be much trust between anyone, be they fellow resister or not.
Which makes sense, because revolutions are notorious for warring factions and infighting. What unites a resister with another is they have a common goal or enemy. Take that away, and they might no longer have anything in common. It seems competing factions is something both The Authority and The Resistance share.
In “Puzzleman”, it seems everyone’s plans, be they resistance or authority alike, never go as expected. Broussard is left trying to reestablish his network of contacts but by the end of the episode, he has made a new ally.
However, on Colony can anyone be trusted to be telling the truth? Amy does reveal some interesting information about Seattle, apparently, it has been completely redone. With a new government and civilization set up, will it be safe to travel there?
