Netflix debuted an official teaser trailer for Iron Fist season two at Comic-Con.

Fans of Iron Fist hit the jackpot at SDCC this year with loads of information coming out of the panel. Not only did the series confirm who Alice Eve was playing but it also revealed the premiere date for the second season. While attendees were able to see quite a bit of footage at Comic-Con, we’ll just have to settle for the forty-eight-second trailer.

The quick clip seems like it picks up shortly after the events of the Defenders. Matt’s “death” has clearly had an impact on Danny and he now refers to New York as his city. Considering Matt’s final words were “protect my city,” it sounds like Danny has taken that message to heart.

However, this isn’t the same Danny Rand who used to proudly go around telling anyone who would listen that he was the Immortal Iron Fist. Now he’s engaged in back alley brawls against gangs of thugs. At the very least, the fighting choreography already looks a lot better than the first season.

Unfortunately, that’s about the only look fans at home get for season two thus far. The teaser trailer doesn’t show glimpses of Colleen, Typhoid Mary, the Meachums, or even Davos. However, the synopsis for season two does confirm that all of these characters will be appearing along with Misty Knight.

"Marvel’s Iron Fist Season 2 stars Finn Jones (Danny Rand), Jessica Henwick (Colleen Wing), Sacha Dhawan (Davos), Tom Pelphrey (Ward Meachum), Jessica Stroup (Joy Meachum), Simone Missick (Misty Knight) and introduces Alice Eve (Mary Walker)."

The release from Netflix also has a bit of the plot for season two which just reaffirms what is seen in the trailer.

"Season 2 furthers the transformation of Danny, a character with a fish out of water coming of age story making his way in a harsh new world, battling to work out who he is. This season, Danny has promised that with Matt Murdock gone, he will step up and protect his city. But a sinister plot twist threatens his very identity and he must conquers his villains to protect the town and people he holds close to his heart."

Iron Fist fans won’t have to wait much longer to see more from season two. The series will be streaming its sophomore run on September 7, and more news will undoubtedly surface before then. It’s more than likely a full trailer will debut sometime in August.

For now, SDCC attendees will be the only ones who get to see the footage, which is rumored to be incredibly impressive. In the meantime, be sure to tell us in the comments below whether you’re excited about the new season.
