Warning: Spoilers for the All Souls Trilogy below!
While A Discovery of Witches often focuses on the romance between Diana Bishop (Teresa Palmer) and Matthew Clairmont (Matthew Goode), there are plenty of other relationships developing as well. The series has fleshed out more of the supporting characters compared to the novels by Deborah Harkness because we aren’t in Diana’s head in every scene.

Leonce’s character, Phoebe Taylor, is a major character and love interest for Matthew’s son, Marcus in Shadow of the Night and The Book of Life. She works at Sotheby’s auction house where she meets Marcus and the two begin their journey together.
However, Taylor becomes a vital part of the de Clermont family thanks to her diplomatic abilities. Not only is she extremely intelligent, but she’s also unfailingly polite and gentle even when faced with a formidable opponent.

Leonce most recently appeared in episodes of Silent Witness and Death in Paradise. Fans may also recognize her from the Black Mirror episode, “Crocodile” in season 4.
Season 2 is expected to air sometime in late 2019/early 2020 in the UK but there is currently no word if Shudder or Sundance Now will get them at the same time in the US. Production has already started which hopefully means we’ll get to return to this world sooner rather than later!
