This Week in True Detective is a feature that aims to bring you the best True Detective happenings of the week. This could include breaking news, popular articles, or anything else that people found interesting or may have missed.

Another week done, another new edition of This Week in True Detective. That’s just how it goes. We’re in June now and about two weeks away from the premiere of True Detective season two. There’s a huge amount hype in the air, which is impressing since HBO have promoted True Detective very little.

There wasn’t any major True Detective news this week, but we were treated to a couple of interviews. One of which turned out to be Colin Farrell’s best True Detective interview so far.

Lets’ begin.

Vince Vaughn will be on the cover of British GQ’s new cover and he’s already gotten himself into a bit of hot water unrelated to True Detective.
True Detective didn’t take home anything at the Critic’s Choice Awards, but HBO itself won big. No surprise there.
We put together a fancy new rundown of what we know about True Detective season two which you should totally check out.
Google Earth did True Detective fans a favor by capturing the set and crew back in March. What were the chances of that happening?
Ashley Hinshaw and Justin Lin both gave a new True Detective related interview as did Colin Farrell. If you haven’t read the aforementioned Farrell interview, we urge you to do so.
Finally, there was a supposed major True Detective plot leak. Spoiler alert, so click at your own risk.
