This Week in True Detective is a feature that aims to bring you the best True Detective happenings of the week. This could include breaking news, popular articles, or anything else that people found interesting or may have missed.

This edition of This Week in True Detective is coming to you a tad late due to the holiday. That is, due to July 4th weekend. But the delayed post time certainly doesn’t indicate that there wasn’t a lot of to talk about this week in the world of True Detective. Quite the opposite, in fact. So why waste time?

Let’s begin.

We reviewed the second episode of True Detective season two, “Night Finds You” and then took a look at its controversial ending.
We spent a lot of time going over the ending of True Detective‘s second episode, mostly trying to figure out how deep everything goes.
The second season of True Detective is having a difficult time with its ultra-dark and serious tone.
Also, there’s a lot of Lera Lynn in True Detective and not everyone is happy with it.
There’s a new Colin Farrell interview out there, and this one is actually good! Ray Velcoro, by the way, is one of our favorite parts of True Detective.
Finally, there is something odd going on with the True Detective opening credits. Will it continue with the third episode?
