The series, from The Handmaid’s Tale executive producer Warren Littlefield and A&E Studios, is written and created by Josh Corbin (StartUp). The show follows relentless femme fatale Doris (Spencer) as she seeks revenge against the biker gang that left her for dead.
Along the way she makes some unlikely allies as they go up against her brother and the Banished Brawlers biker gang.
Craig Tate will play a former special forces officer and current stick up man who joins Doris against the gang. Wavyy Jonez plays his cousin, also a special forces veteran on team Doris. Rory Cochrane is the leader of the Banished Brawlers and Shane Callahan as the gang’s operational organizer.
While Corbin is a relative newcomer to the industry, based on StartUp and Reprisal he seems to have a penchant for teaming up unlikely allies for a common cause. Reprisal sounds like a flashy and trashy revenge thriller with a fast paced film noir soul and the heart of a gritty biker drama. Its hard to say with so many influences involved what kind of pace and style the series will have, but it’s likely not even close to what I’m imagining. I’m ready to be pleasantly surprised by the outcome.
